The powerful combination of extremely attractive economics (paybacks and project returns on investment) coupled with a total pollution solution for mandated abatement bodes very well for AWS’ acceptance in the market. AWS was founded and is led by two proven executives who bring years of experience to AWS in virtually all phases of a business’ life cycle – from startup through public to international. Stephen McCorkle, AWS’ founder and CEO, has almost 30 years experience, including over 23 years of global operations and senior executive positions with Schlumberger and over six years in animal waste-to-energy. Steve has lived in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East and has worked and managed operations in many countries. Steve is an electrical engineer, MBA and in 2006 was elected Chairman of the Animal & Poultry Waste Management Center at North Carolina State University, where the largest study of technologies to abate animal waste pollution was conducted over a five-year period. Richard Abruscato, AWS’ CFO and co-founder, is a CPA with over 35 years of experience in various senior executive positions and financial/consulting services, starting his career in international public accounting with Arthur Young & Co. In the 1980’s, during the first alternative energy boom, Rich co-founded and as Chairman and CEO took public a cogeneration company. Coupled with his three plus years at AWS, Rich has ten years of waste-to-energy experience. AWS pursues strategies in technology development, economic return and key relationships. These exist in AWS’ disruptive, patent pending technology, exclusive licensing agreements for patented, best of class components, and in a total pollution solution with very attractive economics. They also arise from the highly credible relationships that AWS has established in the industry and industry-related arenas. AWS operates an industry demonstration and test site at Inland Empire Utilities Agency, an award-winning California public utility, next to the largest digester in the world that processes animal waste. AWS has been granted an R&D air quality permit for that site, the first such in CA for animal wastes, from the most stringent air quality district in the world. AWS received the maximum, prestigious USDA/NCRS/FPPC grant to demonstrate a waste-to-energy technology to the industry at that site. Few enjoy our key relationships with various industry trade associations and industry-related academia. We are developing and continue to seek relationships for technology expansion, project development and project financing.
